Seebeck Effect

A typical thermoelectric module is utilized to convert heat into electricity (Seebeck effect). In this case a flame's heat is used to power an electric fan.

Peltier Effect

A typical thermoelectric module is utilized to convert electricity into heat (Peltier Effect). In this case a DC power source is used to drive a thermoelectric heat pump. A thermal gradient is created by the current applied and at the cold side a glass of water is frozen.
